Wizard Presents Theatre Company

Wizard Presents is engaged in the Production, Directing and Writing for Theatre, Storytelling, Education, Music Recording, Production and Publishing.

John Miller and Danyah Miller, the directors of the company, have between us over 55 years experience in all aspects of theatre and business management.

We are passionate about innovation and excellence, bringing together practitioners from commercial and subsidised sector to create work which encourages audiences to make new discoveries.

Current shows are SOUL SISTER, a new musical inspired by the life and times of Ike and Tina Turner and I BELIEVE IN UNICORNS by Michael Morpurgo

John Miller worked as a journalist before entering the music business as a record producer, artist manager and music publisher. He has produced music for film, theatre and television, and more than thirty albums, five of which have been certified ‘Gold’.

He is the devisor and co-writer of ONLY THE LONELY– The Roy Orbison Story, for which he was nominated for an Olivier Award in 1994. The show played in London’s West End for over two years and toured until 2001.

In 2002 he devised and co-directed, with Pete Brooks, ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE! a musical written around the songs of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. This show toured the UK before playing at The Queens Theatre in London’s West End.

Pete and he have since written SOUL SISTER which opened at Hackney Empire in April 2012 before a limited season at Savoy Theatre London and a subsequent national and international tour.

He is the producer of the audio book recording of THE BUTTERFLY BALL, with Judi Dench and Michael Hordern. It is based on Alan Aldridge and William Plomer’s best selling children’s book The Butterfly Ball and the Grasshoppers Feast

Danyah Miller is a theatre producer, storyteller, performer, workshop leader and mum.
She trained in drama, dance and English and later studied improvisation, mime and physical theatre, at the Jacques Lecoq School in Paris. She also trained at The International School of Storytelling in East Sussex, where she is now a visiting teacher.

Danyah’s professional background is in theatre management and production, in the regions and London’s West End. She was the first female manger of Stoll Moss Theatres (now Really Useful Theatres) marketing manager at Soho Theatre, General Manager at The Shaftesbury Theatre, Chief Executive at The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham. Interregnum General Manager of the Palace Theatre Watford and project fundraiser for Sadler’s Wells Theatre.
Danyah is an active producer at Wizard Presents.
