Oakwell Hall Country Park

A stunning Elizabethan manor house, furnished as a 17th Century home. Charlotte Brontë featured the Hall as ‘Fieldhead’ in her novel Shirley. Listen to the ghost story or try our children’s Bits & Batts trail.
Also explore the award winning gardens and 110 acres of country park. There is also a café and gift shop.

Oakwell Hall
Saturday & Sunday: 12noon to 4pm
School holidays: Tues to Thurs 12noon to 4pm
Closed Mondays to Fridays except Bank Holiday Mondays

Visitor Centre
October to March
Open Wednesdays to Sundays 10am - 4pm
(and Tuesdays in Kirklees school holidays)

Admission to Oakwell Hall:
Adult: £3.50
Child: £1.00
Family: £8.00 - for two adults and up to four children
Kirklees Passport holders: 50% discount.
Visiting groups should pre-book.

Entry to the Hall is free to members of the Friends of Oakwell Hall. Membership forms are available from the shop.
