It's alive! It's alive! It's alive!

In an illustrated lecture, Christopher Frayling traces the journey of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, published on New Year's Day in 1818, from limited edition literature to the bloodstream of contemporary culture. He discusses the trajectory of the novel and its depiction in magazines, on playbills, posters, advertising and packaging, and in comics and graphic novels.
