Iron Man Children's Drawing Competition Under 11s

COMPETITION! Celebrating 50 years since Ted Hughes' Iron Man was first published.

Open to children aged 11 and under

He is taller than a house!
He’s made of metal!
He eats tractors and barbed wire!

Yorkshire-born Ted Hughes was one of the most important British poets and children’s writers of the 20th century and The Iron Man is one of his best-loved stories. Let your imagination fly – read the book then send us your drawing or painting of The Iron Man.

WINNER: The winning picture will be featured in our 2018 Festival brochure to illustrate our Iron Man sculpture workshop (25,000 brochures distributed from end Jan for March 2018 Festival).

RUNNERS UP: A selection of pictures by runners up will appear on our festival website.

WINNERS & RUNNERS UP will be notified by Monday 20 November and announced at our Festival Preview on Wednesday 22 November, 6pm-7.30pm at the Harry Potter & The History of Magic exhibition, Huddersfield Library
