The traditional opening of the Carnival weekend

Carnival Parade – Saturday 8th July - FREE
The Carnival Parade through Huddersfield Town Centre, with hundreds of participants and thousands of spectators washing the streets of Huddersfield.

The parade is self is free to spectate BUT our new take for 2017... Access to the Greenhead Park Paid zones will be required a ticket.

We have an option to purchase your tickets seperate for just the Saturday and Sunday OR both..

Your ticket entitles you to:

Saturday 8th July 2017 - Greenhead Park 12pm to 8pm

▪ (New) Children, young people and family arena to Discover, Explore and Learn about African Caribbean history, traditions and culture. There will be story telling and food preparation presentations and workshops.
▪ A stage for professional local artists so that you can sing, dance and get your groove on.
▪ (New) an Arts, Fashion, Hair zone.
▪ fairground rides.
▪ (New) a sound system VIP zone.
▪ Mas troupes, Queens, Kings, Princesses and Princes perform to the audience.

The BIG CHANGE…..Greenhead Park - WE HAVE ADDED AN EXTRA DAY .. It’s a 2 DAY event for 2017.

(NEW) Sunday 9th July 2017 African Caribbean Music Festival 11am - 7pm

For the first time this year, there will be spaces for:

▪ A family friendly arena showcasing food, music, dance and good vibez.
▪ A stage for local, regional and international artists.
▪ Fairground rides.
▪ A sound system VIP zone.
The festival live performances will give you an experience of being in the Caribbean (without the sea and sand) listening to the sounds of sweet Reggae, Soca and Steel Pan Music.
And…..the affordable ticket price will give us a head start in raising the funds for 2018 and beyond.

Ticket Prices - EARLY BIRD DEADLINE is Saturday 10th June 2017.

▪ Adult (18+) 1 day ticket £2.50
▪ Youth (13 to 17 yrs) 2 day ticket £1.25
▪ Child (0-12yrs) FREE

The prices after Saturday 10th June will be as follows
▪ Adult (18+) 1 day ticket £5.00
▪ Youth (13 to 17 yrs) 2 day ticket £2.00
▪ Child (0-12yrs) FREE
