2020 sees Holmfirth Film Festival continuing to bring British film, world cinema plus a range of talks and events to the Holme Valley with its long weekends of film and regular Sunday evening screenings at venues in Holmfirth, Honley, Meltham, Hepworth and beyond. . .

Key dates for lovers of film are:

Spring Weekend of Film - Friday 29 to Sunday 31 May
Autumn Weekend of Film - Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November
Christmas Weekend of Film - Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 December

Our run of Sunday Night films (last Sunday of each month at Holmfirth Civic Hall) kicks off with Pain and Glory (Director Pedro Almodovar) 26 January; February's Sunday night screening brings Sorry We Missed You (Director Ken Loach) 23 February. Doors and bar open 6.30pm, films start 7pm).

Sunday evenings continue with the best of world and British cinema including the brilliant Bait, the mysterious German film Transit, Argentine classic Rojo, the controversial Joker. On the horizon for our Spring Weekend of Film Festival are films of the year, Korea's Parasite and the French masterpiece, Portrait of a Lady on Fire.
