Introduction to Jewellery Making with Frances Noon

Introduction to Jewellery Making with Frances Noon

Frances Noon returns with Autumn with her popular course, An introduction to Jewellery Making. The perfect beginner course allowing you to develop different techniques over 6 weeks. You'll be initially using copper and then move onto silver when you feel more confident. You will form pieces from sheet metal and wire and learn how to shape them into earrings, pendants or brooches.

You will learn how to solder using a gas torch, how to cut out shapes using a piercing saw, how to add texture & details to a metal surface through hammering & use of punches.
You will learn how to make your own findings, which are the ear wires & little jump rings that link pieces together.
If you have attended Frances' first course, or have some experience of silversmithing, this is a small group and you will be able to extend your skills.

Time/Dates: 6.30pm to 8.30pm 12th Sept for 6 weeks

Cost: £120
