More about Fishing4Compliments
Fishing4Compliments are a five piece band from Huddersfield who have been bringing their catchy, intriguing songs and uplifting sounds to an array of venues across the North of England and beyond for over ten years. They released their debut album ‘Off The Isle Of Somewhere’ in April 2020 entitled ‘Off The Isle Of Somewhere’ which has been described as: “Eleven tracks of upbeat and optimistic folk-pop” (Dave Beech, RGM Magazine )and produced by Joseph & David Dunwell of the successful Leeds indie-folk band The Dunwells. Over the past year they have been enjoying regular radio play within the world of community and internet radio and were nominated within the category of best Folk/Acoustic Act as part of the Radio Wigwam Awards 2020. Here also is a little bit about what others have had to say about their music:
“F4C specialise in catchy, hook-laden folk/pop songs written by Eileen, which features her clear, natural voice, sometimes with vibrato, which gives the band’s music a distinctive, unique sound. Eileen is also a fine songwriter who is able to combine intriguing, personal lyrics with a shiny pop sensibility” (Peter Cowley, FATEA Magazine);
“The sound is somewhere between Fairground Attraction and The Beautiful South. The songs are jaunty and foot-tapping” (RnR Magazine)
