Screen Skills First Break

Screen Skills First Break

ITV is striving to increase opportunities within the TV industry for more individuals from diverse and socially challenged backgrounds who are looking to work within television production.

First Break is a new programme which aims to de-mystify jobs behind the camera in the television industry. It is aimed at individuals who may not have previously thought a role in the TV industry was a job of choice. It is not for acting or any front of camera roles.

First Break is run by ScreenSkills, the skills body for the UK’s film and television industry and ITV is the first partner in the initiative. The programme will aim to give successful applicants a taste of working behind the camera across the production process.
