BUY outstanding, original art: ceramics, jewellery, paintings, prints, textiles, mixed-media works and sculptures and more all on display in The Coach House and woodlands

DISCOVER: explore the woods, dip into soundscapes, chill out with meditation and go behind-the-scenes on a tour of Cliffe House

FOOD & DRINK: world food, all day bar, specially brewed beer from the Jolly Boys Brewery

RAIN OR SHINE: indoor and outdoor spaces and wet-weather plan

Discover the work of local artists and craftspeople as you explore beautiful buildings and lovely woodland walks, all in the grounds of Cliffe House, close to the centre of Shepley village, less than a 10-minute walk from the railway station.

Throughout the two days, there’s a chance to roll up your sleeves and get involved in kinds of creative, hands-on workshops, from throwing a pot to creating your own perfume, weaving a willow crown, wood block printing, felting, braiding and tie dye (includes sessions are suitable for children).

Chill out with a meditation session in the woods, book a rare ‘behind-the-scenes’ tour of Cliffe House, enjoy good food throughout the day and sample a pint of the specially brewed Jolly Boys ale.

ART@THE HOUSE 2018 runs from 10am – 5pm on Saturday 1st June and 10am – 4pm on Sunday 2nd June.

Local ceramics artists, Nigel Hoyle, is the driving force behind the event: “Our first artatthehouse weekend in 2018 attracted at least 1,000 visitors and we’re hoping many more will join us this year to enjoy and experience the work of an amazingly talented and diverse group of local artists, designers, makers and musicians, to share and celebrate their creativity. As well as providing a great backdrop for the art, crafts and music, Cliffe House and its landscapes are integral to how they will be experienced and discovered. With over 20 artists, plus lots of hands-on activities, creative, unexpected installations and fantastic food and drink, we’re really looking forward to the second year of artatthehouse – it’s something new and different that will also be great fun.”
